Outfall Repairs at Wastewater Facility

The City of Soldotna is planning to repair the wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) outfall off of Porcupine Court (see map below).  Construction will occur from April through May, 2024.

Southcentral Construction has been contracted to repair the damaged WWTF outfall pipe that transports treated wastewater to the Kenai River.

Construction activities will include:

  • Equipment on Porcupine Ct.
  • Temporary ramp covering temporary wastewater lines
  • Construction staging and activities in Right of Way
  • Temporary inflatable dam around the construction area in the Kenai River
  • Removal and replacement of outfall line

Starting in April, you may see construction vehicles in and around the project area.  A temporary ramp will cover construction water lines across Porcupine Ct. Construction activities will occur in the Right of Way and in the Kenai River.

Project Area

The project area is off of Porcupine Court, within utility Right of Way (between 347 Porcupine Ct. and 351 Porcupine Ct.). The project area extends approximately 160 feet into the Kenai River.
