Programs & Activities

Through our programs, residents and visitors alike can gain access to athletic and sports events, cultural and historical education, self-reliance knowledge, and FUN classes for folks of all ages.

Drop-in Pickleball - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 12-3pm at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex. Starts May 28th.

Fitness in the Park - Mondays at 6pm in June & July, $5, cash only. Soldotna Parks & Recreation has partnered up with the Fitness Place to bring you a fun outdoor exercise class suitable for all abilities. This will be a 45 minute Functional Fitness class that includes five phases: warm up, learning form, main workout, core exercises, and cool down. Functional Fitness focuses on getting your body moving in ways that are similar to how you move during daily activities, while improving balance and stability. This class follows a minimal equipment format, meaning you can perform all exercises with bodyweight or with a pair of dumbbells, exercise mat is optional. Some example exercises will be Squat, Plank, Lunge, Good morning, Jogging, Jumping Jacks. Every movement is modifiable!  Let us know you're coming!

Walk With a Doc - In partnership with Central Peninsula Hospital. First Wednesday of every month. Location and time posted on Facebook.


Ice Rink Activities

Register by June 10th at the links below! 18+

Come one, come all and enjoy one of the oldest recess games. This league will offer 6 regular season games, one per week per ending with a community tournament on Saturday, 8/3. Sign up as a team of 7-10, individually, or as a small group*. This is a Recreational Kickball League, we play for fun/bragging rights only. Games are self-officiated. All players must be 18 years or older. Individual fee is $15, Team fee (7-10 people) is $100.

Games will take place between 6:00pm and 9:00pm on weeknights (game days TBD, each team will play one game per week). The regular season will be 6 weeks long beginning the week of June 24th. There will be an open tournament on Saturday, August 3rd.

*If you are a group of less than 7 and would like to be on a team together, all players should register individually and list one common person on their registration.

The Soldotna Regional Sports Complex (S.R.S.C) is located at 538 Arena Ave, Soldotna, AK 99669. The complex offers an Olympic sized ice rink, racquetball and wallyball courts, and a conference suite (with kitchen). The City's Parks & Recreation Department is also housed within the complex.
