How do I place an item on hold?
Holds may be placed through our online catalog by entering your library card number and library pin or by speaking to a library staff member at the service desk in person or by calling 907-262-4227.

When the item is ready for you to pick up, you will receive an email or phone call. Items not picked up within 7 days of notification will be reshelved or sent back to their owning library.

If the item you want from Soldotna Public Library's collection is checked out, you can claim a spot in line to check out the item by placing a hold. Holds can also be placed on items that are currently available—our staff will locate the item for you and have it waiting for you on the Hold shelf, usually by the next business day. Holds placed on items only available at other Alaska Library Catalog (ALC) locations will be transferred to Soldotna as soon as possible.
What is my Pin number for my online library account?
Your pin number provides an extra layer of security to protect information stored in your library account. If you don't know  your pin number, please email us or call 907-262-4227 so we can help.
