City of Soldotna Facilities

The Soldotna Regional Sports Complex contains a conference room capable of holding 350 people with an adjoining kitchen. When the Olympic-sized ice rink is not in use, the center hosts numerous events, including the Kenai Peninsula Home Builder’s Show, the Kenai Peninsula Sports Recreation & Trade Show, and the Kenai Classic Banquet. The newly-expanded Joyce K. Carver Public Library includes an 1110 square foot facility with chairs, tables, a projection screen and suspended XGA projector, as well as a counter, microwave, and sink. The capacity is 144 people with chairs only, or 62 people with chairs and tables. Two small conference rooms are also available with seating for 7 people each. Kenai Peninsula College

The College’s Kenai River Campus offers a unique blend of facilities to accommodate a wide range of conferences and hands-on industrial training workshops. The KPC boasts a dozen meeting rooms that can accommodate as few as four people or as many as 200; high-tech training space with multiple labs for process technology, instrumentation and computer electronics; and apartment-style housing for multi-day conferences complete with Wi-Fi, a gym, laundry facilities, a half-court basketball course, and a nine-hole disc golf course.

Kenai National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) Visitors Center

The KNWR Visitors Center presents a unique experience for up to 80 people in their new multi-purpose educational room, built as part of the $6 million LEED-certified refuge headquarters. Located less than two miles from the heart of downtown Soldotna, the Visitors Center offers a peaceful, natural setting with the opportunity to work and play all in one place. The KNWR consists of 1.92 million acres including ice fields and glaciers, tundra, boreal forests, lakes, and rivers.
