SOLDOTNA POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

AND THE DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNLESS AND UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY**
On 5/15/19 about 2:05 p.m., Soldotna police received a report about the theft of a tip jar from a coffee stand on the Kenai Spur Highway. Officers contacted Robert Sparks III, 25, of Sterling, issued him a criminal citation for theft in the fourth degree and he was released.
On 5/17/19 about 1:55 p.m., Soldotna police responded to the Fred Meyer parking lot for a reported collision. Investigation led to Adrienne Goforth, 68, of Kenai, being issued a criminal citation for reckless driving and released.
On 5/24/19 about 11:00 a.m., Soldotna police responded to the Sportsman's Warehouse for a shoplifter. Brandon Barfell, 22, of Kenai, was issued a criminal citation for theft in the fourth degree and released.
On 5/26/2019 at 2:24 a.m., Soldotna police stopped a vehicle on the Sterling Highway near Kobuk Street. Elizabeth Peronto, 32, of Sterling, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and taken to Wildwood.
On 5/26/2019 at 11:01 p.m., Soldotna police responded to Good Time Charlie’s for a disturbance. Prior to the officer’s arrival, the involved parties left in a vehicle, which was later stopped at Mile 113 Sterling Highway by an Alaska State Trooper. Investigation led to Laura Faatoafe, 33, of Anchorage, being arrested for assault in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood without bail.
