SOLDOTNA POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

January 26, 2018

**ANY CHARGES REPORTED IN THESE PRESS RELEASES ARE MERELY ACCUSATIONS

AND THE DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNLESS AND UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY**

 

On 1/19/18 at 3:05 a.m., Soldotna police responded to the Maverick Saloon for an aggressive male threatening to cause bodily harm to a cab driver and refused to pay his cab fare. Robert Luton, 31, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree, theft in the fourth degree and violating his conditions of release. Luton was taken to Wildwood and held on $1,000 bail.

 

On 1/20/18 at 11:31 p.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Marydale Avenue for a disturbance. Matthew Scarito, 36, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood without bail.

 

On 12/18/17, Soldotna police received a report of a personal check being forged and began an investigation. On 1/21/2018, Soldotna police arrested Bridget Samson, 27, of Soldotna for forgery in the first degree and theft in the third degree. Samson was taken to Wildwood and held without bail.

 

On 1/21/18 at 3:13 a.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Vine Street for a disturbance. Klayton Justice, 20, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and driving under the influence of alcohol. Justice was taken to Wildwood without bail. Justice was also issued citations for minor consuming alcohol and minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol.

 

On 1-24-18 at 3:25 p.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Marydale Avenue for a disturbance. Matthew Scarito, 36, of Soldotna, was arrested for two counts of assault in the fourth degree, misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree and violating his conditions of release. Scarito was taken to Wildwood without bail.
