SOLDOTNA POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

January 5, 2018

**ANY CHARGES REPORTED IN THESE PRESS RELEASES ARE MERELY ACCUSATIONS

AND THE DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNLESS AND UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY**

 

On 12/17/17 at 12:27 a.m., Soldotna police stopped a vehicle on the Sterling Highway at Warehouse Drive. Stacy Whiteley, 42, of Soldotna, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and taken to Wildwood.

 

On 12-24-17 at 10:06 a.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Sohi Lane for a disturbance. Drew Wimberly, 32, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree-D.V. and assault in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood without bail.

 

On 12/24/2014 at 2:08 p.m., Soldotna police responded to the Sportsman’s Warehouse for a report of employees wrestling with an armed shoplifting suspect. Darrell Rogers, 33, of Soldotna, was arrested for misconduct involving weapons in the third degree, theft in the fourth degree and an outstanding arrest warrant. Rogers was taken to Wildwood where he was held without bail.

 

On 12-25-17 at 3:46 p.m., Soldotna police stopped a vehicle on Binkley Street near Wilson Lane after a reddi report was received. Mark L. Kennedy, 46, of Soldotna, for was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and consuming alcohol in violation of his felony probation.  Kennedy was taken to Wildwood and held without bail.

 

On 1/2/2018 at 12:28 a.m., Soldotna police contacted Steven Eagle, 33, of Soldotna, in the Safeway parking lot in reference to an outstanding arrest warrant. Eagle was arrested on the warrant and also issued a municipal citation for driving while license revoked. Eagle was taken to Wildwood and held on $500 bail.

 

On 01/02/18 at 8:19 p.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Redoubt Avenue for a reported disturbance in progress. David Davidson, 57, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree-domestic violence and disorderly conduct and taken to Wildwood without bail.
