Below is a list of all events that have been added to the city calendar. You can sort by category or city department, as well as filter by specific time frames.

Essential Core Yoga

Dr. Dawn Lamb.  This course is designed to increase your body's ability to heal by bending, stretching, balancing and breathing.  You will gain a working knowledge of how the body functions.  We will cover muscle location and their movements: feeling their movements and how they relate to your physical structure.  We will also be integrating movement with breath work: using breath to influence your nervous system, thereby gaining a working knowledge of how you can decrease stress.  Additionally we will be stretching and strengthening the muscles to gain balance and groundedness.  Integration of the Chakra system along with the energetics of meridians and acupressure will be used and discussed extensively in this course.  The goal is to be able to move your own energy to heal your own body.  If you are ready to heal then this is the course for you.  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one.  Pick a session (or pick all three!):

Session I--Tuesdays and Thursdays, Beginning January 20, Ending January 29  / 4 Nights / 5:30pm-6:45pm / Teens and Adults / 5 Minimum and 20 Maximum / Soldotna Prep (formerly Soldotna Middle School) Library / $40 per session or $100 for all three sessions

Session II--Tuesdays and Thursdays, Beginning February 24, Ending March 5 / 4 Nights / 5:30pm-6:45pm / Teens and Adults / 5 Minimum and 20 Maximum / Soldotna Prep (formerly Soldotna Middle School) Library / $40 per session or $100 for all three sessions
