In 2015 - 2016, the City of Soldotna worked with PDC Engineers to develop a Streets Inventory and Management Plan. This plan assessed street conditions of existing City streets, and rated them according to a nationally recognized system. These ratings, combined with traffic levels on roads, provide the City with a planning document for future capital improvement projects. We can use these recommendations to develop budgets so our streets can be maintained, repaired or upgraded as needed. This plan also reviewed our existing maintenance practices in the summer and winter seasons to provide us with recommendations and best practice examples.
