Peninsula Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit, community-based organization that encourages the public to assist local law enforcement agencies by providing valuable information about criminal activity.

Crime Stoppers monitors a telephone number and website through which citizens can submit tips. Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information given leads to the arrest or indictment of a felony offender.

Calls to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-478-HALT are taken 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on a dedicated, non-recorded line which does not use Caller ID. Completely anonymous tips can also be submitted online at peninsulacrimestoppers.com. Once a tip is received, it is forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

Since its inception, Peninsula Crime Stoppers has been instrumental in solving hundreds of crimes and recovering a vast amount of property. More than $18,000 in reward money has been paid to individuals who helped solve crimes on the Kenai Peninsula.
