International Tabletop Game Day

Gather your friends and family for a day of all things tabletop gaming.  Cards, strategy games, or plain old Go Fish.  Bring your own games or borrow some of ours! 

Wild Child Film Festival: Presented by the Kenai Watershed Forum

Follow some amazing kids as they careen through northwest rivers, ski down slopes to visit penguins in Antarctica, race with copepods, and help plant millions of trees around the world. This kid-friendly program will inspire youngsters to get outside and become advocates for the vibrant world in which we live.

Preparing for August’s Solar Eclipse
Tuesday, May 16 at 6pm
KPC astronomy professor Andy Veh will discuss eclipses in general, how they happen and why they don't happen every month and everywhere. There will be a special focus on the total solar eclipse that's visible from the continental US in August.  This program is appropriate for all ages and Professor Veh will have demonstrations and computer animations to help illustrate what happens during an eclipse.

An Evening of Native Drumming with Spotted Eagle
Tuesday, May 23 at 6pm
Come join Chris "The Bearilla" Beard and Cecil "Spotted Eagle" Anowlic for an evening of sacred stories of our journeys to find balance and healing in life. Spotted Eagle will also be giving a Native drumming demonstration. This presentation will be filmed for Chris Beard’s YouTube channel called "The Bearilla’s Alaskan Backyard Adventure Series."
