The library offers free use of its meeting rooms for public meetings and programs that support the library’s mission “to meet the intellectual, recreational, and cultural needs of all the people of our community and to promote a life-long love of learning.” Rental fees may apply for before or after-hours events (see our Facility Use Policy & Procedures for more information). Information packets are also available at our service desk.
MEETING ROOM DESCRIPTIONS:
The Community Room is a 1100 sq. ft. facility with chairs and tables. It includes a projection screen and a suspended XGA projector. A counter top including a microwave and sink are available for serving light refreshments. The capacity is 144 with chairs and 62 with chairs and tables. 65 chairs and 26 tables are available for use.
Conference Rooms A & B:
Conference Rooms A & B are 180 sq. ft. rooms with one table each and seating for 7.
Because the Community Room is used by a wide variety of public, library, and city groups, advance reservations are required and must be made at least 1 week prior to the date. This does not apply to small (under 15 people) drop-in groups. The written application, form 03.01.01 FACILITY USE AGREEMENT, must be received at least 1 week prior to the meeting date, and be confirmed by library staff through phone or email.
